故事设定于上世纪60年代，琼斯博士即将迎来退休，但来访的故人之女海伦娜却打破了他平静的生活，后者希望和他一同寻找能够改变历史走向的宝物“命运转盘”，这也唤起了一段尘封已久的回忆。在二战末期，琼斯曾与纳粹争夺过“命运转盘”。宛如宿命一般，如今他再次被卷入“命运转盘”的争夺，而纳粹的残余势力也卷土重来，觊觎着这件宝物。。宰久与顺英夫妇在乡下公路旁经营汽车维修公司，面对附近镇上大型修车公司的竞争，生计备受威胁。某一天突然有生意上门，因为进出邻近工地的卡车掉落的铁钉，导致路过汽车爆胎，终于有收入的宰久灵机一动，趁夜在附近公路撒铁钉，并提高维修费用，想藉此大赚一笔，却引发了一连串难以预料的意外事故…。Young people use music to express their new awareness of life and generational opposition to their parents, as well as to protest the social and political climate in East Germany.
