剧情描述北加州一群非法栽种大麻的商人，为了增加大麻生长的速度，因而使用类固醇，没想到类固醇被虱子吸收后，竟然产生巨大的基因突变。间接地也使得这些被大虱子咬到的生物，都会因其毒液发作而产生幻觉。此时，一个专门带领孩子接近大自然的夏令营，在不知情之下，正前往此地进行户外活动，直到孩子一个接一个被恶毒的虱子咬伤之后，他们才发现事情的严重性……。Birdcatcher Esmar and his wife Johanna face eviction from their farm in Gásadalur unless they have a son. Desperation sets in when Johanna gives birth to their third daughter. Pushed to the brink, Johanna is impregnated by another man, a French Captain, and gives birth to a son, known as ‘the birdcatcher’s son’.
